Swetha Suresh and Sree Narayanea K win the coveted 'Best Socially Relevant Project' award at Technovation '26 during Kurukshetra 2026 – The Battle of Brains at Anna University Chennai.

Victory at Anna University's Flagship Tech Conclave
In an extraordinary demonstration of engineering with purpose, Easwari Engineering College congratulated Swetha Suresh and Sree Narayanea K (IV Year Biomedical Engineering) for winning the “Best Socially Relevant Project” award at Technovation’26.
Technovation’26 was held as part of Kurukshetra 2026 – The Battle of Brains, the premier international techno-management fest hosted by Anna University, Chennai.
Innovation with Purpose: Solving a Neglected Crisis
Kurukshetra attracts thousands of innovators from across the country. Amid intense competition, the Org & Aura initiative distinguished itself by tackling one of the most critical yet neglected public health challenges: 1. The Dignity of Menstrual Hygiene: Ensuring that women and girls in educational institutions have access to private, touch-free, and clean disposal options. 2. Preventing Soil & Water Toxicity: Halting the dumping of synthetic diapers and napkins in communal waterways. 3. Decentralized Utility Design: Operating as a standalone automated unit that requires zero plumbing modifications.
What the Jury Noted
The Technovation’26 jury commended the project for its rigorous integration of thermal engineering, safety fail-safes, and deep social relevance:
"True engineering leadership is measured not merely by technical complexity, but by the tangible social impact it delivers to human communities."
This achievement highlights the purpose-driven mindset nurtured at Easwari Engineering College and reinforces Org & Aura's trajectory toward national implementation.
